Ben and Gwen enjoy a relaxing summer afternoon, that is, until Grandpa Max comes in to lecture Ben about his responsibility to fill up the water tank in the Rust Bucket. Gwen makes fun of him, though Max also makes a point of her laziness. Suddenly, a radio advertisement comes up about working in a farm, and Grandpa Max gets an idea of bringing the kids there. They arrive at the farm, and there they meet Joan Maplewood and her son, Todd. Ben and Gwen do not enjoy the farming life, but they make it an exception when Todd tells them about a strange mummy-like figure that roams around the pasture.
