Vilgax injuries are fully-healed, and he decides to head for himself to obtain the Omnitrix. As Ben sleeps, he gets a message from Vilgax about his arrival. Grandpa Max is worried, and he immediately insists that they go to Mount Rushmore as a safety precaution. While Vilgax is unable to locate the exact location of the device, he decides to wreak havoc in Rapid City to lure Ben in. In return, Vilgax's plan succeeds, and Ben comes to the rescue. Unfortunately, Ben is captured, so Max and Gwen head out to acquire the weapon that is specifically adjusted to his DNA structure. The weapon was able to stun Vilgax for a brief period of time, but ultimately leads to a showdown between the evil conqueror, and the Tennyson family.
