Inside a hotel, Ben spots an area where they are featuring a demonstration of a new game. He decides to sneak in, but it ends up getting them kicked out. After an argument with Grandpa Max, he decides to wander the city on his own. There, he befriends a boy named Kevin, a mutant who has the ability to absorb any type of energy. When Ben shows Kevin how the Omnitrix works, he soon realizes that Kevin may only want to use its powers for his own selfish needs. In the end, Ben learns a very important lesson: sometimes you can't have everything your way all the time.
