Hexlord, or Hex for short, is a magician whose powers are derived from magical charms called the Charms of Bazell. By using the Charms of Bazell, which give him the powers of levitation, fire, reincarnation, luck, and lightning, he can cast powerful spells on whatever he chooses. He seeks an ancient spell book called the Archamada Book of Spells. It contains powerful magic spells that, when wielded by someone holding the Charms of Bazell, can give the wielder unimaginable powers.

Later, they meet with Hex once again after his niece, Charmcaster, releases him from prison. He pursues for the Keystone of Bazell, which he will use to re-create the charms that Gwen has destroyed in the past.
